Change in Kiel's coaching team

As the KSV announced on Tuesday, assistant coach Fabian Boll, athletics coach Andre Filipovic and with video analyst Philipp Pelka could not be reached to extend their contracts that expires after this season. However, Kiel would have liked to continue working with the trio.

"We signaled Fabian Boll, Andre Filipovic and Philipp Pelka at an early stage that we would like to continue with them by 2024," said Uwe Stöver, Holstein's managing director Sport, on the KSV website. "However, for the three mentioned conversations and for various reasons, we did not have managed to agree on an extension of the contract."

In contrast, Dirk Bremser extended his contract, which was dated until June 2023, an additional year. The 56-year-old can look back on a long time as an assistant coach, especially with today's Nuremberg sports director Dieter Hecking, he worked for a long time. Both were cup winners with VfL Wolfsburg in 2015. "With Dirk Bremser last summer we were able to win a assistant coach with many years of experience and enormous football expertise, who identified 100 percent with the club, shows great commitment and has a good bond with the team," said Stöver. Like head coach Marcel Rapp, Bremser is now bound to KSV Holstein until June 2024.
